A motorboat travels 86 mi in 2 hours going upstream. it travels 110mi going downstream in the same amount of time. what is the rate of the boat in still water and what is the rate of the current

{(V-v)*2=86(mi)
{(V+v)*2=110(mi)

{(V-v)=43
{(V+v)=55

2V+v-v=43+55
2V=98
V=49(mph)
v=55-49=6(mph)
