x+3y=5 x = -3y + 5
2x-3y=-8
2(-3y + 5) - 3y = -8
-6y +10 - 3y = -8
-9y + 10 = -8
-9y = -18
y = 2
x + 3(3) = 5
x + 9 = 5
x = -4
(-4, 2)
