x^(2) +10x+2=0

x^(2) +2*5*x+2=0

x^(2) +2*5*x+ 5^(2) -5^(2)+2=0

x^(2) +2*5*x+ 5^(2)+2= 5^(2)

(x+5)^(2)+2=25

(x+5)^(2)=23

Answer:
(x+5)^(2)-23=0, the value added to both sides is 25
