Steve placed two orders at the same printer last week. In one order, he received 50 address labels and 75 flyers for $21.25. In the other order, he received 100 address labels and 50 flyers for $27.50. What is the price for one address label l and one flyer ƒ?

A=address labels
F=flyers

50A+75F=21.25.........(1)
100A+50F=27.50.......(2)
Solve for A and F
2(1)-(2)
100F=15 => F=0.15
substitute in (1)
50A+11.25=21.25 =>
A=10/50=0.20
So an address label costs $0.20, and a flyer costs 0.15, one of each they cost 0.35.
