2x^2 − 2z^4 + y^2 − x^2 + z^4

2(-4)^2 − 2(2)^4 + (3)^2 − (-4)^2 + (2)^4

2(16) - 2(16) + 9 - 16 + 16

32 - 32 + 9 - 16 + 16

answer is 9
