Adam uses coconut milk for the dessert.

The coconut milk is in a can but he doesn’t know how much the can holds.

The can is 12 cm high and the diameter is 8 cm.

Using the formula V = π r2 h, work out how much coconut milk is in the can.

Use 3 as a value for π.

Give your answer using the correct units.

So basically, since you know the equation and all of the dimensions, just plug in all of the numbers.

V =
\pi r^2 h
V = 3 [the radius is diameter / 2] 4^2 * 12
V = 3 * 16 * 12
V = 48 * 12
V = 576

So there is 576 cm cubed of milk inside of the can.

(Whether it's filled to the brim, probably not.)

I hope I helped! :)
