x^(2), Multiplication ×, Division ÷, Addition +, and Subtraction -.

13 - 96 ÷ 8 + 8

As you can see in the problem, there are no PEM (Parentheses, Exponent, and Multiplication) so know you only have DAS (Division, Addition, and Subtraction) which is simple.

13 - 96 ÷ 8 + 8

96 ÷ 8 = 12

13 - 12 + 8 = 9

Edit: I also used a calculator to make sure and got 9
