Use the midpoint formula for the midpoint (xm, ym) between (x1,y1) and (x2,y2);
xm = (x1 +x2)/2
ym = (y1 +y2)/2
Because (x1,y1) = (5,8) and (x2,y2) = (11,6), therefore
xm = (x1 + x2)/2 = (5+11)2 =8
ym = (8+6)/2 = 7
The midpoint is
(8,7).
