I am assuming you in your question mean 4x^2-8x+8-x^2+2x-4-3x^2+_=4
4x^2-x^2-3x^2=0 so you get
-8x+8+2x-4+_=4
-6x+4+_=4
so _=6x

Answer:

+6x

Explanation:

Given is an equation with a missing term as follows:

4x^2 -8x + 8 -x^2 + 2x -4 - 3x^2 +_ = 4

Simplify by grouping the like terms as follows:

(4x^2- 3x^2- x^2) +(-8x   + 2x )+( 8-4)  +_ = 4\\-6x+4+_ =4\\-6x+_=0

Thus missing term must be

+6x
