First we need to find;

f(2)

simply substitute n = 2 into the function f(n) = 4f(n-1)

f(2) =4(2-1) = 4f(1) = 4(9) = 36

Next, we will find f(3)

f(3) =4f (3-1) = 4f(2) = 4(36) = 144

Next, is to find f(4)

f(4) = 4f(4-1) = 4f(3) = 4(144)= 576

Next, we will find f(5)

f(5) = 4f(5-1) = 4f(4) = 4(576) = 2304

Then, we will now find f(6)

f(6) = 4f(6-1) = 4f(5) = 4(2304) = 9216

Therefore, the value of f(6)= 9216
