If you are working in a pediatricians office, when would PPE such as a sterile gown and gloves be needed?

If a person is working in a pediatrician's office, the personal protective equipment should only be used when handling body fluids to protect the person from being exposed to a potential sickness that a patient could have been present or exhibits. It is used when you are handling catherization, sutures or when the pediatrician asks for assistance in injecting anti-biotics to the patient. Another reason for the person to wear this is if he or she is sick and could still manage to work, he or she should wear a PPE to prevent his or her sickness to spread to the workers and to the patients.
