Flowering plants and shrubs are unable to grow in deciduous temperate rain forests. What is the possible reason for this phenomenon?

The reason this phenomenon is because deciduous forests are located near the north portion of the earth. They have a colder climate that stuns the plants. Which has them growing at an amassing rate. And the sunlight is really rare which could affect the biological growth
