SOLUTION

The variance is calculated using:


\text{variance}=\text{npq}

n is the number of throw

Hence, n=25

p is the probability of success

Hence, p=60%=0.6

And q =1-p

Hence q = 0.4

Therefore the variance is calculated as


\text{variance}=25*0.6*0.4

Calculate the value:
