What is the product?

(2x – 1)(x + 4)

A. 2x^2 –4
B. 2x^2 + 4
C. 2x^2 + 7x – 4
D. 2x^2 –7x – 4

You just cross multiply.

2x^2+8x-1x-4

Then add like terms which gives you the answer

2x^2+7x-4

So the answer is C.
