Colligative properties of a solution depend on THE RATIO OF THE NUMBER OF SOLUTE PARTICLES TO THE NUMBER OF SOLVENT MOLECULES IN A SOLUTION. Examples of colligative properties are: elevation of boiling point, melting point depression, lowering of vapor pressure and osmotic pressure.
