Short-term fitness goals are goals that you set to get to your long-term fitness goal. For example, workout four times a week or run 30 minutes a day.

Long-term fitness goals refer to the the end goals. What do you want to achieve by completing each of your short-term fitness goals. These could be things like lose 20 pounds or lowering cholesterol.

 a short term fitness goal is a temporary thing you may be trying to get your summer bod or something like that where as a long term fitness goal is to get fit and stay consistantly fit
