we are given the function 60 (2s+5)=64 and is asked in the problem to determine the solution. In this case, we can easily extract the value of s in the proceeding steps:
60 (2s+5)=64
2s + 5 = 64/60
2s = 64/60 - 5
s = (64/60 - 5)/2
s= -1.97
Answer would be D
