A newspaper carrier has ​$7.30 in change. He has four more quarters than dimes but four times as many nickels as quarters. How many coins of each type does he​ have?

Let d be dimes. Then quarters would be d+4; and nickels would be 4(d+4). Then:
.05(4d+16)+.1d+.25(d+4)=7.3
.2d+.8+.1d+.25d+1=7.3
.55d=5.5
d=10
Plug d=10 to get quarters and nickels. ☺☺☺☺
