Assume the radius is R.

2*pi*R = 28 -> R = 14/pi

So the area will be pi*R^2 = 196/pi

Answer:

Area of circle = 62.459624 square cm .

Explanation:

Given: circumference measures 28 centimeters.

To find : Find the area of a circle .

Solution : We have given

circumference =28 cm

circumference = 2 *pi * radius .

Plug the value of circumference = 28 cm , pi = 3.14

28 cm = 2 * 3.14 * radius .

28 = 6.28 * radius.

On dividing both sides by 6. 28

Radius = 4. 46 cm

Area of circle = pi (radius )².

Area of circle = 3.14 ( 4.46)².

Area of circle = 62.459624 square cm .

Therefore, Area of circle = 62.459624 square cm .
