To switch from the amount of mols given to grams, we are going to have to first find out the molar mass of sodium chloride.

Answer:

175.05 grams

Step-by-step explanation:

A mol is the molecular unity that a certain compound has, in order to calculate that we first need to know both molar masses of the two elements. for Sodium would be: 22.90 grams, and the molar mass for Chlorine is: 35.45.

We need to add both to know the sodium chloride molar mass:

22.90+35.45=58.35

So the molar mass of NaCl is 58.35 grams per mol.

Now we just have to multiply that by 3 which is the number of mol and we get how many grams are in 3 mol of sodium:

58.35x3=175.05 grams
