n is going to be the term u want to find

the formula : an = a1 + (n-1)d.....a1 is going to be ur first term...so ur first term is -3.....or u can find it by subbing in 0 for n

4th term...n = 4
a4 = -3 + (4-1) * -2.2
a4 = -3 + 3(-2.2)
a4 = -3 - 6.6
a4 = -9.6 <== 4th term

tenth term....n = 10
a10 = -3 + (10 - 1) * -2.2
a10 = -3 + 9(-2.2)
a10 = -3 - 19.8
a10 = -22.8 <== 10th term
