we are given with the total budget of $80 that is to be divided to pizza, soda, and the service charge. The equation to be followed as a representation to this problem is 80 = 5 + 5x + 3y where x is the number of pizzas and y is the number of bottles bought. if x is 12, then

75 = 60 + 3y
15 = 3y
y = 5 soda bottles
