2x+7y=4
Times 2 to each side
2x(2)+7y(2)=4(2)
4x+14y=8
-4x-3y=14
Next, I wil use substitute property

4x+14y=8
+
-4x-3y=14
=
11y=22
Divided 11 to each side
11y/11=22/11
y=2
2x+7y=4
Replace y with 2
2x+7(2)=4
2x+14=4
Subtract 14 to each side
2x+14-14=4-14
2x=-10
Divided 2 to each side
2x/2=-10/2
x=-5
Check:
2x+7y=4
Replace y with 2 and x with -5
2(-5)+7(2)=4
-10+14=4
4=4

-4x-3y=14
-4(-5)-3(2)=14
20-6=14
14=14. As a result,tge ordered pair is (-5,2). Hope it help!

2x + 7y = 4....multiply by 2
-4x - 4y = 14
----------------
4x + 14y = 8 ....(result of multiplying by 2)
-4x - 4y = 14
----------------add
10y = 22
y = 22/10 reduces to 11/5

2x + 7y = 4
2x + 7(11/5) = 4
2x + 77/5 = 4...multiply by 5
10x + 77 = 20
10x = 20 - 77
10x = - 57
x = -57/10

solution is (-57/10, 11/5)
