The food label law is mandatory for most of the foods, except the meat and poultry. Putting food labels are mandatory and regulated by the Food and Drug Administration. It is after the federal food drug, and cosmetic act together with the fair packaging and labeling act aiming to regulate the summary of the nutrients included in the different food products.
