The volume of the rectangular box is width*length*height.
Let h = height of the box.
Therefore
x*x*h = 4x^8 + 3x^6
Note that 1/x^2 = x^(-2).
Also, (x^a)*(x^b) = x^(a+b)
Therefore
h = 4(x^8)(x^-2) + 3(x^6)(x^-2)
= 4 x^6 + 3x^4
Answer:
b. 4x^6 + 3x^4
