A farmer grows two types of grain in his fields. He has a seed budget of $20,000.00 and has spent $11,200.00 to plant wheat seed so far. If barley seed costs $52.00 per acre to plant, what is the maximum number of acres of barley the farmer can plant and still be under budget?

11,200+52x=20000
20000-11200=52x
8800=52x
8800/52=x=169.2

Has to be under 20000 so double check. We will round to the acre.
11200+52(169)=1988<2000
11200+52(170)=20040>20000

Answer would be 169
