The coach is choosing 3 players from 5.We have to calculate how many different groups of 3 players could be chosen.This is an example of combinations:5 C 3 = ( 5 * 4 * 3 ) / ( 3 * 2 * 1 ) = = 60 / 6 = 10Answer: There are 10 groups of players that could possibly be chosen.
