The most important information the nurse and the medics team must keep in mind when caring for a client who had a cardiac arrest is how long the client was anoxic. Anoxia means total depletion in the level of oxygen, an extreme form of hypoxia (low oxygen). This is a very useful piece of information because the medics will know which first aid procedure should they administer first.
