Evaluate the quotient of 1.05 x10 to the power of 3 and 1x 10 to the power of 3

Hey there!

I'm assuming that your problem is
(1.05*(10)^(3))/(1*(10)^(3)). Let me know if the formatting of the problem is a little different, since this can drastically change your answer.

One thing to note is that if you have a fraction or division problem where the same exact number, variable, or term is in both the numerator and denominator, this can be cancelled out. In this case,
10^(3) is in both the numerator and the denominator, meaning that they can simply be omitted from the problem.

The division problem will now be:


(1.05)/(1)

Any number that is divided by 1 will simply result in that number, so your final evaluation will be 1.05.
