2n - 5 = 7
Add 5 to both sides.
-5 + 5 = 0
7 + 5 = 12
2n = 12
Divide both sides by 2.
2n / 2 = n
12 / 2 = 6
n = 6.
Your answer is 6.
I hope this helps!
