I did this problem several times and came out with the same answer every time, but it is not one that you have listed there in your choices. I get 9/x-8 every time, not 9x/x-8

Answer: The required simplified form is
(9)/(x-8).

Step-by-step explanation: We are given to simplify the following:

E=(x+2)/(x^2-6x-16)/(1)/(9)~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~(i)

To simplify the above expression, we need to factorize the denominator of the first fraction and then try to divide the terms.

We have

E\\\\\\=(x+2)/(x^2-6x-16)/(1)/(9)\\\\\\=(x+2)/(x^2-8x+2x-16)*9\\\\\\=(9(x+2))/(x(x-8)+2(x-8))\\\\\\=(9(x+2))/((x+2)(x-8))\\\\\\=(9)/(x-8).

Thus, the required simplified form is
(9)/(x-8).
