If you're unsure on how to do this, go to google and search up "calculator" and a calculator will come up with the "e" on it! Then there's an exponent button as well. It comes to .04978706836 so it would be .050 when rounded to three decimal places.

Answer:

0.050

Explanation:

The "e" function in mathematics is the exponent of a number. As such e^-3 can best be interpreted as the exponent of -3.

Using a calculator,

e^-3 = 0.0497870684

To 3 decimal places, first round off to 4 decimal places

= 0.0497

To round to 3 decimal places, consider the number in the 4th decimal place. If more than 5, add 1 to the number in the 3rd decimal place other wise added 0

= 0.050
