To find the surface area you can just find the area of all the sides and add them up.
Front/Back:
Area = 13 x 7 = 91 x 2 = 182
Sides = 8 x 7 = 56 x 2 = 112
Top/Bottom: 13 x 8 = 104 x 2 = 208
502 is what I got
