The answer is B, self interest, because the company wants people to buy from them due to conformation to community. They might have changed it to promote their sales.

Answer with explanation:

Consider a country, in which there are five kinds of shoes, A, B, C, D and E, manufactured by five different companies.

Now, Company A, wants to check, how much the consumers are interested in buying their product.

So, they hire different people for this survey ,and found that , 3 out of every 10 person are wearing their product.

Such a big company, will never lie , because out of 5 or may be 7, shoe making company, if 3 out of 10 people are wearing their product , it's a big Achievement. These bigger company will never want to make their reputation down or slander themselves by telling lie in front of country people because they don't want to close their business also, market value of their product will fall. And,If their lie get caught, people will never buy their product.

Yes, it may be true that,by doing survey, company want to show people that, their product is the better product than other shoe manufacturing company, so, that more number of people should buy their product, also,to increase the demand of their product .

Option B: Self Interest
