Jay’s Nursery sells border plants for home gardeners at a discounted price of $12.99. Jay’s has 335 plants it must sell. Fixed costs for all these plants were $1,675 and variable costs per plant are $3.65. What is the maximum profit to the nearest cent that Jay’s will make if it sells all the plants at the discounted price?

Hi there

R ( 335 ) = 12.99×335=4,351.65

C ( 335 ) = 3.65×335+1,675=2,897.75

P(335)=4,351.65−2,897.75=1,453.9

the maximum profit to the nearest cent that Jay’s will make if it sells all the plants at the discounted price is
1453.90

Good luck!
