How are implied messages different from stated messages?

Stated messages are clear and the readers know exactly what is being said. And implied message is like reading between the lines. You are not directly saying what you mean but the readers can guess at to what you are saying.

The implied messages are those understood to be true but not stated directly. This can be done by the tone of voice, facial expression or what is prefered to omit or emphasize. They are implicit and not clearly expressed. Contrarily, the stated messages express information clearly and carefully. They identify, and the implied messages leave up to the reader find out.
