What is the length of the radius?

What is the length of the radius?-example-1

The answer is 8.4.

I would use the Pythagorean Theorem to solve this:
l² + l² = h²
r² + (5)² = (9.8)²
r² + 25 = 96.04
r² = 96.04 - 25
√r² = √71.04
r = 8.428523...
r = 8.4
