Let's remember that a function associates an element of a set to exactly one element of a second text.

To determine by an arrow diagram if something is a function the only thing we have to note is two things:

1. In the left side the numbers don't repeat.

2. From each number in the left set it only begin one arrow.

Looking at the picture we see that both things are true in the picture. Then this is a function.
