None. When you distribute the -9 into that set of parenthesis, you get
4x-9x-9=20-5x. That simplifies to -5x-9=20-5x. If we move the 5x terms to the same side to solve for x, they are eliminated completely. So there are no solutions because when the x's are gone, we have that -9 = 20, which it definitely does not.

Answer: The equation has no solution.

Explanation:

Given equation :
4x-9(x+1)=20-5x

Now, open the bracket in the left side ,we get

4x-9x-9=20-5x

Taking terms with x one side and constant terms on the another sides ,

4x-9x+5x=20+9

Now, combine them

-5x+5x=29

i.e.
0=29, which is not true.

Thus , the equation has no solution.
