base-isolaters, rubbers, and steel pads under buildings minimize damage by absorbing the energy from seismic waves.

Answer:

Base-isolators when building is made base isolation supports building in such a way that when earthquake come the building either move a very little or does not move at all.

The rubber in the building reduce the horizontal motion of the building actually gives it neutralizes the motion between building and earthquake.

Many base-isolators are used for commercial purposes for example: rubber and steel pads.
