i believe it would be addition property of equality since you can add 14 and 8 to recieve the number that the 8 is being subtracted from to get 14. So in this case x would equal 22.

Answer:

addition property of equality

Explanation:

x-8 = 14

To solve for x, we need to get x alone

To get x alone, get rid of -8 from left hand side

x-8 = 14

To get rid of -8, we add 8 on both sides

x- 8 +8= 14+8

x=22

8 is added on both sides, its addition property of equality
