Mercy Hospital surveyed 2,700 patients who were admitted to the hospital last year and stayed at least two nights. They were asked the following question:

How would you rate the hospital food you were served during your recent hospital visit?

The following results were obtained. If 15% or more responded that the food was poor, Mercy Hospital planned to add some new food choices to the patients’ menus. Will they need to do so?

Outstanding = 625
Good = 734
Fair = 822
Poor = 437
Don’t know = 82

They do not need to do so, as the majority of the results give New York Mercy's food positive feedback (outstanding, good, and fair).
