2/5*(x-4)=2x

simplify 2/5*(x-4) to 2(x-4)/5=2x
multiply by 5 2(x-4)=10x
divide by 2 x-4=5x
subtract x -4=4x
divide by 4 -1=x

Answer:

The equation having Single variable is:

5 × (x -4)=2 x

Applying , Distributive property of multiplication with respect to Subtraction gives,

→5 x - 5×4=2 x

Subtracting , 2 x from both sides

→5 x -2 x -20= 2 x -2 x

→3 x-20=0

Adding 20, to both sides of the equation

→3 x-20+20=20

→3 x=20

x=(20)/(3)
