A=xy and y=x+1 so

A=x(x+1)

A=x^2+x

x^2+x-A=0 since A=30

x^2+x-30=0

x^2-5x+6x-30=0

x(x-5)+6(x-5)=0

(x+6)(x-5)=0, since x>0 to have any meaning...

x=5 units, and since y=x+1

y=6 units.
