Answer:

a = -1

and a ≠ -3 , 3

Explanation:

Given Equation :

(a)/(a+3)=(2a)/(a-3)-1

We need to solve the given equation.

Clearly given equation has 2 rational terms.

We know that Denominator of rational Numbers can not be equal to 0.

So, a + 3 ≠ 0 ⇒ a ≠ - 3 and a - 3 ≠ 0 ⇒ a ≠ + 3

⇒ a can not be equal to 3 and -3.

Now Consider,

(a)/(a+3)=(2a)/(a-3)-1

(a)/(a+3)=(2a-(a-3))/(a-3)

(a)/(a+3)=(2a-a+3)/(a-3)

(a)/(a+3)=(a+3)/(a-3)

a(a-3)=(a+3)(a+3)

a^2-3a=a^2+2(a)(3)+(3)^2

a^2-3a=a^2+6a+9

6a+3a=-9

9a=-9

a=-1

Therefore, a = -1
