The second choice is correct, but I believe that either its +1/3 ( in the question) or -3y as that will give you the answer of: y=1/3x+6

Answer:

The correct option is 2. The equation of line is x + 3y = 18.

Explanation:

The slope intercept form of a line is

y=mx+b

where, m is slope and b is y-intercept.

It is given that the slope of a line is -1/3 and a y-intercept is 6.

Substitute m=-1/3 and b=6 in the above equation.

y=-(1)/(3)x+6

Multiply both the sides by 3.

3y=-x+18

Add x on both the sides.

x+3y=-x+18+x

x+3y=18

The equation of line is x + 3y = 18. Therefore the correct option is 2.
