What is the value of x in the equation 2.5(6x-4)=10+4(1.5+0.5x)

Perform indicated multiplications on both sides...

15x-10=10+6+2x combine like terms on right side

15x-10=2x+16 subtract 2x from both sides

13x-10=16 add 10 to both sides

13x=26 divide both sides by 13

x=2
