Perimeter is distance around a figure in this case a square. The perimeter is 356 feet and there are 4 equal sides on a square. Take the perimeter 356 feet and divide it by 4. This will give you the length of each side since they are all the same. 356 divided by 4 = 89. The length of each side would be 89 feet.

P = 4a...where a = one side
356 = 4a
356/4 = a
89 = a....so each side is 89 ft
