6x^3 - 2x + 3 - (-3x + 5x^2 + 4x - 7)....distribute the negative thru the parenthesis.

6x^3 - 2x + 3 + 3x - 5x^2 - 4x + 7.....combine like terms
6x^3 - 5x^2 - 3x + 10 <==
