To whom did the word barbarian originally refer?

A. any person who was not Greek
B. Any person involved in the slave trade
C. Any person who lived in the countryside
D. Any person who participated in gladiatorial combat

I think it's either B or C (this is for Apex learning)

A, Greeks used Barbarian to describe odd words foreigners were using because to them (Greeks) it sounded like "Bar Bar Bar"
